You notify your activity
Art. 20 of the Swiss Foodstuffs and Utility Articles Ordinance (SR 817.02) requires anyone who hands out foodstuffs to notify their activity to the cantonal enforcement authority. Information letter 2017/4 of the Federal Food Safety and Veterinary Office names this case explicitly: operators of public drinks or food vending machines register in their canton of domicile.
The information has to be on the machine
A blended shake, a brewed matcha and a coffee made on the spot are non-prepacked foodstuffs. Art. 39 para. 2 of the Foodstuffs and Utility Articles Ordinance and the Foodstuffs Information Ordinance (SR 817.022.16) call for allergens to be declared in writing; oral information is allowed only where a written notice says so and an informed person can give it. A machine with no staff has no such way out.
It stays yours
The machine’s supervision gives you temperatures and faults. It does not replace the self-check system a cantonal authority expects from a food business, nor the traceability of the batches you load.
CaseBOX is not concerned: a phone case is not a foodstuff. The other three machines are. This section refers to federal law; your canton may add requirements of its own, and it is the canton you register with.
